If you are in Park county it's always a good idea to stop by Divide Lake. For the duration of the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Divide Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Divide Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's. There is a wonderful hiking trail close to Divide Lake called the Fawn Pass Trail; Specimen Creek Campground is

| | a brilliant local campground. It is very arid here at Divide Lake usually; most of the rain falls through May, and February is when it's the driest. Going for a hike on the Little Tepee Creek Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Near Divide Lake you hit upon the Sportsman Lake Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and Divide Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Tom Miner Campground is a fine place to camp nearby. | |

Now, you may assume that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Divide Lake. After a long day outdoors Best Western Weston Inn is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and Rathbone Lake is a pleasant lake
nearby. A fine nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort West Yellowstone Conference; float down the rapids of Mulherin Creek in a kayak. A wonderful lake like Leech Lake near Divide Lake is a fine spot to check out, and get soaked paddling on Gallatin River.
