This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. Dick Creek Lakes gets very little rain; throughout the month of May you get the most rain around here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You just must have a thing about the Absaroka Range. Good hiking is available along the Gooseberry Trail, and get dripping wet paddling on Greybull River. If you came for an overnight stay       Brown Mountain Campground is a magnificent spot to camp; after a long day outdoors The Cody is a great place to spend a night or two. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Dick Creek Lakes; Wind River Trail is a splendid local trail. At Dick Creek Lakes during the days of summer highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's; after the sun is down throughout the winter                  temperatures at Dick Creek Lakes plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
