At Desert Reservoir Number 4 you don’t see much rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Boulder Creek; Scab Creek Campground is a fine campground nearby. Get drenched paddling on Pole Creek; wonderful hiking is available along the Emigrant Trail.
