    If you are in Park county it's always a good idea to stop by Deep Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. Deep Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at, and splendid hiking is available along the Custer National Forest Trail. A common amount of rain falls here at Deep Lake; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
High temperatures at Deep Lake through the warm days
 
   of summer are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Deep Lake are in the 10's. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and Super 8 Motel - Red Lodge is a good place to get some rest. You absolutely have to fancy the Absaroka Range. You can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Red Lodge  
               Mountain; why not camp at Buena Vista Campground if you're here at Deep Lake.
Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things close to Deep Lake. Deep Lake Slide Area is an exciting thing to spot while you're here at Deep Lake, and after a long day outdoors Chateau Rouge is a glorious location to spend a night or two. Man, is there plenty of exciting things to do in the Absaroka Range. Go for a hike on the Morrison Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Deep Lake without first going for a hike along the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail, and camping is available at Dead Indian Campground.
