Deep Creek Lakes gets very little rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and December is when it's the driest. Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Wind River Range. Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge is a good place to get some rest. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more fun things to do in the Wind River Range. Paddling on Middle Popo Agie       River is so much fun; do take a look at Coon Lake, it's a picturesque lake. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Deep Creek Lakes. Do set aside some time for Pinto Park while you're here at Deep Creek Lakes, and there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Pinto Park Trail. A pleasant place to camp here at Deep Creek Lakes is Dickinson Creek Campground; going for a hike on the High Meadow Trail is always a delightful                  adventure. The Wind River Range scenery is always beautiful. On a splendid day at Deep Creek Lakes you can take a hike along the Ice Lakes Trail, and since you're here, you could also explore scenic Smith Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Big Sandy Campground if you're here at Deep Creek Lakes, and some attention-grabbing geology is available here, Chimney Rock is right here. Throughout the summer at Deep Creek Lakes temperatures are usually in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's.
