Dead Horse Lake is a location that is pretty waterless regularly; June is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. That right there is heaps of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Wind River Range has it all. The summit of Square Top Mountain can be made out from Dead Horse Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Roaring Fork Trail. Be careful       coming to the Wind River Range, you might not ever want to go home again. After a long day outdoors Chinook Winds Mountain Lodge is a nice place to spend a night or two, and a quick trip to Cabin Creek is absolutely a tremendous idea. Going for a hike on the Moon Lake Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and if you came to camp Circle Up Camper Court Shop is a glorious place to do that.                  Don't leave Dead Horse Lake without first going for a hike along the Whiskey Mountain Trail; Dead Horse Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Rawhide Ranch is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Green River, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Dubois. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is located in the wonderful Wind River Range. For the period of the months of summer highs here at Dead Horse Lake reach the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Dead Horse Lake are in the 10's.
