Go to Deacon Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Deacon Lake. Deacon Lake is right by the Parque Creek Trail, and Deacon Lake is not the only place close by, Eloise Lake is a close by lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Deacon Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Circle Up Camper Court Shop is a pleasant local campground; you

| | can run the rapids of Shoshone River - South Fork. And that's not all you can do here in the Absaroka Range. Hiking along the Twilight Creek Trail is magnificent fun, and if you're here why not stop at Bear Pocket. This place, Deacon Lake, it absolutely has so much outdoors fun stuff. Five Pockets is a great place here at Deacon Lake, and a visit to Deacon Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Twilight Falls.

tend to be in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Deacon Lake. Going for a hike along the Burroughs
Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Twilight Creek is next to Deacon Lake and is always a pleasure to go to. Just can't get enough of the Absaroka Range. There's so much to do here at Deacon Lake
that you need to camp here for a while, Double Cabin Campground is a great place for that, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Dubois is a fine choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Here at Deacon Lake you can catch a
sight of Cathedral Peak, and a glorious nearby hotel is Best Western Pinedale Inn. Deacon Lake gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout June while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Looking
for something right next door to Deacon Lake? Burnt Timber Lake is close at hand, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Wind River.
