Deacon Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wind River, and the peak of Cathedral Peak can be distinguished from Deacon Lake. For the period of the summertime months here at Deacon Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the

| | 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Deacon Lake. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful.
This lake is so wonderful. On a wonderful day at Deacon Lake you can take a hike along the Twilight Creek Trail. There's so much to do here at Deacon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Circle Up Camper Court Shop is a tremendous place for that. out Twilight Creek, it's close to Deacon Lake, and a good location for whitewater paddling is Shoshone River - South Fork. Branding Iron Inn is a splendid place to get some rest, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Parque
Creek Trail.
And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do near Deacon Lake. Do go to Eloise Lake near Deacon Lake, it's a gorgeous lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Deacon Lake has to offer, you can
camp at Double Cabin Campground. After a long day outdoors Chinook Winds Mountain Lodge is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and Five Pockets is a delightful spot. Twilight Falls is an inspiring location to stop by while you're
here.
All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Absaroka Range will keep you coming back again and again. Bear Pocket is a perfect place to go to in the neighborhood of Deacon Lake; there is a splendid hiking trail close by called
the Burroughs Creek Trail. Deacon Lake gets very little rain; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February.
