Going for a hike on the Oregon Trail - Lander Cutoff is always a splendid adventure; a spree to Fossil Butte National Monument is worthwhile. Cottonwood Lake Campground is a good campground here, also Landslide Dam is worth taking a look at since you're here. Near Crystal Lake you discover the Smiths Fork Greys River Stock Driveway which is a glorious hiking trail, and if you're looking for some       flowing water? Try Lake Mountain Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Crystal Lake is great fun, Hams Fork Campground is a great local campground; not far from Crystal Lake you'll stumble on Spring Lake which is a wonderful lake. At Crystal Lake all through the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, frequently in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in                  the 0's to Crystal Lake. Crystal Lake gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls all through May; July is when it's the driest. So much fun stuff in the neighborhood of Crystal Lake, clearly extraordinary.
