A visit to Cross Lake is always a good idea. Cross Lake is usually a pretty arid place; throughout May this area sees the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. Cross Lake is located in the Wind River Range. Summertime highs at Cross Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Cross Lake dipping down into the-10's during winter

This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent site like Bonneville Basin here at Cross Lake is too perfect to miss. There's so much to do here at Cross Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big Sandy Campground is a great spot for that. Paddling on Bull Lake Creek is so much fun; Mitchells Nipple is trouble-free to spot from Cross Lake.
Don't leave Cross Lake without first going for a hike along the Scab Creek Trail, | |

and Raid Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Wind River Range. Going for a hike on the Silver Lake Trail is always a nice adventure,
and Cross Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Scab Creek Campground is a good local campground. These mountains rock, just explore all the entertaining stuff to do in the Wind River Range. Not far from Cross Lake, you'll
come across Shelia Lake which is a striking lake, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Pinedale Inn.
Man, is there heaps of enjoyable stuff to do right next door to Cross Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Upper Silver Lakes; you can go for a hike on the Crossover Trail.
