Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Paintrock Creek is a brilliant whitewater spot close to Crater Lake; the Cliff Lake Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. Summer brings highs in the 60's to Crater Lake; the overnight is a bit cooler of course, commonly in the 30's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Crater Lake. So many fun things       in the Bighorn Mountains, just impressive. A great place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Crater Lake is Tensleep Creek, and Crater Lake is a pleasant site to visit for more than one day, Lake Geneva Campground is a pleasant site to camp nearby. Going for a hike on the Edelman Trail is always a perfect adventure, and a lake nearby is Sheepherder Lake. Crater Lake is a beautiful lake in the Bighorn Mountains. Not much rain falls here at Crater Lake;                  April is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest month of the year is February. Upper Crater Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Crater Lake has to offer, you can camp at Coffeen Park Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Big Horn Ski has great slopes and a friendly staff, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Mistymoon Trail.
