This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Haskins Creek Campground, and Doane Peak is pretty and can be seen from here. During the summer at Cow Creek Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Cow Creek Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. If you have a thing       about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Park Range. Nellie Creek is a brilliant local stream, and dry warm beds await you at CrossTimbers at Steamboat. Cow Creek Lake gets very little rain; the month with most of the rain is May, and February is when it's the driest. You can take a little visit to Cow Creek Lake Dam since you're here at Cow Creek Lake, and the Fireline Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. You definitely should have                  a thing about Cow Creek Lake. There's whitewater on Encampment River for all you adrenaline rush seekers; nearby Hidden Treasure Gulch is a glorious spot to go. This spot, the Park Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable things.
