The beauty of Cottonwood Reservoir attracts many people from all around. If you came to camp Homestead Village is a nice place to do that, and of course Cottonwood Creek is a striking stream that is worth checking out. This lake is so wonderful. Near Cottonwood Reservoir you hit upon the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, and since you're here why not stop at Haystack Draw. Do go to Cottonwood Dam since you're here at Cottonwood

There is a great hiking trail right next door to Cottonwood Reservoir called the Emigrant Trail, and there are other spots here than Cottonwood Reservoir, for example Bigelow Bench Reservoir. and hit Blacks Fork - West Fork; at Cottonwood Reservoir you can make out Bridger Butte. This lake is so wonderful. During your journey to Cottonwood Reservoir you'll meet some folks from Evanston for sure; going for a hike on
the High Line Trail is always a pleasant adventure. If time allows, Fossil Butte National Monument is a national park worth visiting; Cottonwood Reservoir is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Fort Bridger RV Park is a
brilliant local campground. Lakes? Sure, Cottonwood Reservoir is close by, and if you come at the right time of year, Blacks Fork - East Fork offers some tremendous whitewater. During the long summer days, highs frequently are
in the 80's at Cottonwood Reservoir. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Cottonwood Reservoir temperatures
descend to the 0's. Around Cottonwood Reservoir you don’t get a lot of precipitation; most of the rain falls during September, and the driest month of the year is January.
