8 Montpelier is a good place to spend a night or two. Good hiking is available along the Wyoming Range Trail. There's so much to do here at Cottonwood Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Swift Creek Campground is a brilliant
place for that.
You'll need more than a day to explore everything Cottonwood Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cottonwood Lake Campground; tremendous water scenery is available at Cottonwood Lake Dam in the neighborhood of Cottonwood Lake.
