Why not go to Charokee Trail Dam while you're here, and do take a hike on the Beaver Creek Stump Park Trail. Cotton Reservoir gets very little rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. If only every location had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great planet it would be. Cotton Reservoir is a wonderful spot to camp, Bottle Creek Campground is a wonderful       spot; Rye Gulch is a great place to stop by. If you need a site to stay Bear Trap Bar Cafe & Cabins is a wonderful choice; Lazy Acres Court is a great campground here. Why not take a refreshing hike along the State Line Trail; you can run the rapids of North Platte River. This lake is so wonderful. Cotton Reservoir is not the only spot close by, Brownlee Reservoir is a close by lake, and there's some flowing water nearby, East Fork Cherokee Creek is a stream                  you can stop at while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Encampment River, and a fine close by hotel is Riverside Garage & Cabins. Throughout the summer highs here at Cotton Reservoir reach the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's.
