    Do stop by Copper Lakes while you're in this part of Wyoming. Stinkingwater Peak is simple to spot from Copper Lakes, and dry warm beds await you at Yodeler Motel. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Shoshone River - North Fork, and why not stop by nearby Copper Creek while you're here at Copper Lakes. From a rainfall point of view Copper Lakes is a reasonably typical spot; the month with most of the  
   rain is June, and October on the other hand is the driest.
This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. Throughout the months of summer here at Copper Lakes, high temperatures generally get into the 70's while overnight lows are commonly in the 30's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Copper Lakes are in the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range.
This lake is
 
               so wonderful. Crandall Creek has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if you came to camp Newton Creek Campground is a magnificent spot to do that. Man, is there a load of amusing things to do near Copper Lakes. If the weather is magnificent here at Copper Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Lodgepole Trail; going for a hike along the Papoose Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Absaroka Range. On a perfect day at Copper Lakes you can take a hike along the Blackwater Trail. There's so much to do here at Copper Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Rex Hale Campground is a brilliant location for that.
