Coon Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wind River Range. There is a great hiking trail next to Coon Lake called the Dutch Joe Larsen Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful.       Why not camp at Big Sandy Campground since you're here at Coon Lake, and going for a hike on the Ice Lakes Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Coon Lake is a location that is relatively dried up ordinarily; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest of the months is December. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Coon Lake. Summer night lows fall down to the 40's. All through the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and through the dark hours                  in the wintertime at Coon Lake temperatures descend to the 10's.
