For the period of the long summer days at Cook Reservoir highs are generally in the 80's, and the nighttime is quite colder of course, generally in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Cook Reservoir. Camping at High View Mobile Home Park is always a nice experience; if you have time, Devils Tower National       Monument is a national park worth taking a look at. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of people from Gillette here at Cook Reservoir, and Cook Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, High Plains Campground is a great local campground. Dry Creek is a perfect local stream; Econo Lodge Gillette is a brilliant place to get some rest. Now, you may imagine that's lots but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Cook Reservoir.                  A lake close by is Garner Lake; a great nearby hotel is Settle Inn & Suites Gillette.
