Why not camp at       Bear Lodge Campground if you're here at Cook Lake; why not stop by close by Deer Creek since you're here at Cook Lake. If you get bored of Cook Lake, you could also stop by nearby Hemler Reservoir, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Devils Tower Inn. Going for a hike along the Rauth Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Scott Spring. This lake is so wonderful. Devils Tower                  National Monument is a very magnificent location to visit near Cook Lake. During the long summer days here at Cook Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Cook Lake tend to be in the 0's. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Black Hills. Do take a look at Lake Cook Dam if you're here at Cook Lake, and Mountain View Campground is a brilliant local campground. Cook Lake gets very little rain; throughout the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful.
