Cloud Peak Reservoir is located in the Bighorn Mountains. Having a splendid time in the Bighorn Mountains is simple. The Angeline Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close to Cloud Peak Reservoir. Through the warm months here at Cloud Peak Reservoir, high temperatures mostly reach the 60's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 30's. Through the wintertime the highs       are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at Cloud Peak Reservoir dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Cloud Peak Reservoir called the Penrose Park Trail; Cloud Peak Dam is not far at all from Cloud Peak Reservoir. So many enjoyable things to do at Cloud Peak Reservoir, so little time. Sheridan-Days Inn is a great spot to get some rest, and Circle Park Campground                  is a splendid campground here. If you get bored of Cloud Peak Reservoir, you could also have a look at nearby Cloud Peak Reservoir; Clear Creek is a fine whitewater spot nearby. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Bighorn Mountains has to offer. On a brilliant day at Cloud Peak Reservoir you can take a hike along the Solitude Trail; if you're here, you could pop by Elk Creek. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling near Cloud Peak Reservoir is Tensleep Creek, and camping at Cloud Peak Reservoir is wonderful fun, Highland Park Campground is a wonderful local campground.
