What a nice lake Cliff Lake is. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Red Lodge Mountain close by, and if you came for an overnight stay Island Lake Campground is a perfect location to camp. Yeah, come here to Cliff Lake for a good time. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clarks Fork Yellowstone River; there's great hiking along the Beauty Lake Trail. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Cliff Lake; Beartooth Highlakes Trail is a delightful local trail;

The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. Cliff Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is October. So many fun things in the Absaroka Range, just mind-boggling. You get a great panorama of Bird Mountain from Cliff Lake; Long Lake Campground is a nice campground here.

is to do here in the Absaroka Range. If you come at the right time of year, Clarks Fork Yellowstone River offers some good whitewater. Lakes? Sure, Chain Lakes is close by; good hiking is available along the Lewis and Clark Trail.
During the warm months at Cliff Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 30's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Cliff Lake fall into the 0's.
