Do stop by Cliff Lake while you're in this part of Wyoming. Through the summertime months at Cliff Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are typically in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Cliff Lake. This lake is so wonderful. It is very dried up here at Cliff Lake generally; during June this area sees the most rain while February is typically the driest month.

| | You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting things the Wind River Range has to offer. Good hiking is available along the Jakeys Fork Trail, and you can run the rapids of Wind River. And that's not all you can do here at Cliff Lake. Camping at Longhorn RV & Motel is always a great experience; if you're here, you could also pop by beautiful Cony Lake. popular thing to do around Cliff Lake; C M Trail is a fine local trail. Having a brilliant time in the Wind River Range is trouble-free. A great close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Dubois; you can go for a hike on the Whiskey Mountain
Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Pinedale Inn is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and Boone Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. Cliff Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wind River Range. A quick tour to Cabin Creek close to Cliff Lake is a fine idea, and a tremendous location for whitewater paddling is Green River.

Ross Lake Trail
 | In four days four of us caught 13 fish over 20 inches and 27 fish overall, none of which were less than 14 inches. Campsites are plentiful and established. Great views of other mountain lakes beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The trail is very nice and well marked the entire way. All the climbing is worth every minute once you see the lake....Ross Lake wasn't worth the trip. Horrible fishing and rough trail. I'd recommend other destinations over Ross Lake. Lots of the forest in the area has burned and is not very scenic.... |
