What a nice lake Christmas Lake is. Clarks Fork Yellowstone River is a great whitewater spot in the vicinity of Christmas Lake, and nearby you locate the Custer National Forest Trail which is a fine hiking trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Absaroka Range. Christmas Lake is not the only spot close by, Twin Lakes is a close by lake, and Tibbs Butte is uncomplicated to spot from Christmas Lake.

| | Christmas Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Christmas Lake, and the overnight is rather chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. place to stay Yodeler Motel is a nice choice, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Red Lodge Mountain is great. You could also take
a look at Gardner Lake while you're here at Christmas Lake; it's nearby, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. All the outdoors exciting
stuff in the Absaroka Range will keep you coming back many times. If you came to camp M-K Campground is a great site to do that, and a magnificent close by hotel is Comfort Inn Red Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. There's so
much to do here at Christmas Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Buena Vista Campground is a nice place for that, and the Morrison Trail is a great hiking trail nearby.
