Throughout the warm months at Chickadee Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. For the period of the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Chickadee Lake. Chickadee Lake gets very little precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Chickadee       Lake without first going for a hike along the Mary Mountain Trail, and Comfort Inn Yellowstone North is a great location to get some rest. There are glorious spots to explore along the De Lacy Creek Trail, and Chickadee Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Madison Campground is a brilliant local campground.
