    Cherokee Trail Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Not far from Cherokee Trail Reservoir you obtain some great water scenery at Charokee Trail Dam, and Cherokee Trail Reservoir is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Lazy Acres Court is a brilliant local campground. Cherokee Trail Reservoir is pretty arid usually; most of the rain falls through May, and the driest month of the year is January. If you fancy the outdoors,  
   you'll love Cherokee Trail Reservoir. Near Cherokee Trail Reservoir you stumble on the State Line Trail which is a good hiking trail; a good site to camp here at Cherokee Trail Reservoir is Bottle Creek Campground.
This lake is so wonderful. CrossTimbers at Steamboat is a pleasant site to get some rest, and some close by water includes East Fork Cherokee Creek. Encampment River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by, and a glorious nearby hotel

High temperatures at Cherokee Trail Reservoir throughout the summertime months are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. During the winter the highs are typically in the 30's with temperatures at Cherokee Trail Reservoir dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Paddling on North Platte River is so much fun, and going for a hike on the Beaver Creek Stump Park Trail is always a great adventure.
