Chain Lakes is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Chain Lakes; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Chain Lakes, and through the night it cools down to the 30's. Loop National Recreation Trail is a nice local trail. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. Dry warm beds await you at Yodeler Motel, and if you came for an overnight stay Long Lake Campground is a brilliant location
to camp. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. Clarks Fork Yellowstone River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Island Lake Campground is a pleasant local campground; there's brilliant hiking along the Lewis and Clark Trail.
