Not much precipitation falls here at Cathedral Lake; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most while December is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Be careful coming to the Wind River Range, you might not ever want to return home again. Go for a hike on the Lizard Head Trail; not far from Cathedral Lake       you'll hit upon Cloverleaf Lake which is a stunning lake. You get a perfect view of Bears Ears Mountain from Cathedral Lake; a brilliant place to camp here at Cathedral Lake is Big Sandy Campground. For the duration of the warm days of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Cathedral Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Cathedral Lake overnight low temperatures during                  the wintertime are in the 10's. Good hiking is available along the Gaylord Lake Trail; paddling on Bull Lake Creek is so much fun. The Wind River Range scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Cathedral Lake without first going for a hike along the Washakie Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Middle Lake. So many cool things to do here at Cathedral Lake, too brilliant to be true.
