A wonderful place to camp here at Carothers Lake is Leigh Creek Campground, and do take a hike on the Kinky White Trail. You can take a little spree to Brokenback Dam since you're here at Carothers Lake; whitewater paddling is wonderful on Paintrock Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Pierce Draw is a good place to spend some time       at. Carothers Lake gets very little rainfall; throughout the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. Summertime highs at Carothers Lake frequently tend to be in the 90's while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Carothers Lake through the wintertime mostly sink into the 0's. Lakes? Sure, Upper Reservoir is around here;                  get dripping wet paddling on Tensleep Creek.
