Not much rain falls here at Calvin Lake; April is the month that gets the most snow, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Going for a hike on the Adelaide Trail is always a good adventure. There's so much to do here at Calvin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, East Woodrock Campground is a brilliant location for that. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Bighorn Mountains. If you come at the right       time of year, Tongue River offers some glorious whitewater, and let's not forget Mohawk Creek which is a stream that you may encounter while you're here. If you came to camp West Woodrock Campground is a great place to do that, and Wingate by Wyndham Sheridan WY is a magnificent site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Willett Lake is in the vicinity of Calvin Lake; if you need a location to stay The Passage Resort at Big Horn                  is a glorious choice. All through the summertime months, highs commonly are in the 60's at Calvin Lake, and the overnight is a little chillier of course, typically in the 30's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Calvin Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. This lake is located in the wonderful Bighorn Mountains. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Calvin Lake. You could also go to Graves Lake if you're here at Calvin Lake; it's nearby, and the snow is good at Big Horn Ski. So much amusing stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains, not sufficient time. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Shell Creek, and the top of Bruce Mountain is easily seen from Calvin Lake. Be careful coming to Calvin Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. There are glorious locations to look at along the Wolf Creek Trail; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Antelope Butte is quite near. This lake is so wonderful.
