If you are in Uinta county it's always a good idea to stop by Byrne Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Cold Spring is a tremendous local attraction; if you come at the right time of year, Blacks Fork - West Fork offers some nice whitewater. Little Lyman Lake Campground is a good local campground; Byrne Dam is an exciting thing to check out. This lake is so wonderful. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Why not camp at Meeks Cabin Campground if you're here at Byrne Reservoir, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Blacks Fork - East Fork. Going for a hike on the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and Byrne Reservoir is not far at all from Evanston.

Reservoir during the summer months highs are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Byrne Reservoir.
Lakes are fine; Meeks Cabin Reservoir is a lake that's near Byrne Reservoir, and you're possibly hooked on lakes, Beaver Lake is one of those close by. Byrne Reservoir is a location that is quite dried out mostly; September is the wettest month with most rain; January on the other hand is the driest.
