At Burnt Timber Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Deacon Meadows is right here at Burnt Timber Lake, and Super 8 Motel - Dubois is a delightful spot to get some       rest. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Absaroka Range. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Shoshone River - South Fork. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Burnt Timber Lake has to offer, you can camp at Double Cabin Campground. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Burnt Timber Lake, and the nighttime is a little cooler of course, commonly in the 40's.
