    Buck Springs Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Absaroka Range. So many exciting things to do at Buck Springs Reservoir, so little time. Clarks Fork Yellowstone River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by, and whitewater paddling is perfect on Rock Creek. Summertime at Buck Springs Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 70's while night lows are usually  
   in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Buck Springs Reservoir sink into the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. A splendid close by hotel is Yodeler Motel; Perrys RV Park and Campground is a great local campground. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Red Lodge is a great site to spend a night or two, and Becks Alpine Motel Campground is a wonderful campground nearby.
 
               Take a hike on the Custer National Forest Trail. Lakes are splendid; Badura Number 1 Reservoir is a lake that's right next door to Buck Springs Reservoir.
This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range. So much enjoyable stuff in the Absaroka Range, just mind-boggling. Buck Springs Detention Dam has great water scenery and it's in close proximity to Buck Springs Reservoir, and unsurprisingly, this is a good region for folks who like lakes, Angle Detention Dam is a lake around here. The annual precipitation here at Buck Springs Reservoir is about average; through May this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.
