Go to Buck Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Any time is a glorious time at Buck Lake if you go for the outdoors. Places like Round Prairie are fine to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Pebble Creek flows through this vicinity; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Yellowstone North is a great site to spend a night or two. Now, you may imagine that's a lot but there's even more cool things to do here in the Absaroka Range. There are some great whitewater

| | spots on Clarks Fork Yellowstone, and there are great sites to look at along the Specimen Ridge Trail.
You'll need more than a day to explore everything Buck Lake has to offer, you can camp at Pebble Creek Campground, and going for a hike on the Miller Creek Trail is always a good adventure. Through the warmest time of the year at Buck Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's with overnight lows in the 30's. Throughout the winter highs are regularly | |

in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Buck Lake. There's so much to do here at Buck Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Soda Butte Campground is a magnificent location for that, and close by you hit upon
the Thunderer Cutoff Trail which is a glorious hiking trail.
Buck Lake is located in the Absaroka Range. Buck Lake is pretty waterless commonly; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest month of the year is February.
