Brownlee Reservoir is a great place to camp, Bottle Creek Campground is a great place; Lazy Acres Court is a splendid campground here. Lordier Dam has good water scenery and it's next to Brownlee Reservoir; Riverside Garage & Cabins is a tremendous place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent location for whitewater paddling right next door to Brownlee Reservoir is Encampment River, and close by       you hit upon Rye Gulch which is a pleasant location to explore. North Platte River is a nice whitewater spot right next door to Brownlee Reservoir; the State Line Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. Brownlee Reservoir is a location that is reasonably dry regularly; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is when it's the driest. A lake close by is Charokee Trail Reservoir, and a splendid close by hotel is Bear Trap Bar                  Cafe & Cabins. Having a magnificent time at Brownlee Reservoir is simple. Some nearby water includes East Fork Cherokee Creek, and there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Ellis Trail. Through the summer at Brownlee Reservoir temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows at Brownlee Reservoir during the winter frequently descend into the 0's.
