Boone Lake is a lake worth visiting. For the duration of the summertime months at Boone Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Boone Lake. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Dubois is a good location to spend a night or two, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always
go whitewater paddling on Green River. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is abundant here in the Wind River Range. Go for a hike on the Whiskey Mountain Trail; why not camp at Circle Up Camper Court Shop since you're here at Boone Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Pinedale Inn is a wonderful choice, and Wind River is a perfect whitewater spot nearby. The Wind River Range scenery is always beautiful. That right there

is a load already, but it keeps on going; Boone Lake has it all. Longhorn RV & Motel is a great local campground; of course Dyke Creek flows through this area.
Boone Lake is a location that is quite dried up usually; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Wind River Range. Good hiking is available along the Jakeys Fork Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Soapstone Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Boone Lake; C M Trail is a glorious local trail, and not far from Boone Lake you'll find Blueberry Lake which is a scenic lake.
This lake is so wonderful.

MORE STUFF NEARBY:

Ross Lake Trail
In four days four of us caught 13 fish over 20 inches and 27 fish overall, none of which were less than 14 inches.  Campsites are plentiful and established.  Great views of other mountain lakes beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The trail is very nice and well marked the entire way. All the climbing is worth every minute once you see the lake....Ross Lake wasn't worth the trip. Horrible fishing and rough trail. I'd recommend other destinations over Ross Lake. Lots of the forest in the area has burned and is not very scenic....

Double Lake
11 miles away
Fish it with royal wolfs being stipped on top of the water, big cuttthroats will slam it...
