Summer brings highs in the 70's to Blue Pit Reservoir. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 20's; nighttime lows during the winter for Blue Pit Reservoir tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is perfect here at Blue Pit Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Crows Nest Trail, and not far from Blue Pit Reservoir you'll hit upon Zemba Reservoir which is       a scenic lake. Blue Pit Reservoir is mostly a pretty dried up location; the wettest month of the year is commonly May, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Just can't get enough of the Wind River Range. Why not stop at Zemba Dam if you're here, and camping at Blue Pit Reservoir is good fun, Big Sandy Campground is a good local campground. While you're here at Blue Pit Reservoir you can take a hike along the Fremout                  Driveway, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Emigrant Trail. Man, is there loads of enjoyable stuff to do near Blue Pit Reservoir. Blue Pit Reservoir is located in the Wind River Range.
