Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Blacks Fork - East Fork, and Fossil Butte National Monument is a delightful local destination. All through the summertime highs here at Blake Reservoir get into the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 40's. Smiths Fork Trail is glorious fun, and Bear River Campground is a wonderful local campground.
Have a good hiking adventure along the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail; there are some nice whitewater spots on Blacks Fork - West Fork.
Blake Reservoir is pretty dried up commonly; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Why not camp at East Fork Campground if you're here at Blake Reservoir, and Short Draw is a delightful spot to go to.
