This lake is so wonderful. Blacktail Reservoir is right by the Rauth Trail, and Best Western Devils Tower Inn is a great place to get some rest. It is very dry here at Blacktail Reservoir regularly; most of the rain falls through June while February is regularly the driest month. Don't miss out on a spree to Devils Tower National Monument while you're here at Blacktail Reservoir. Camping is available at Bear Lodge       Campground, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Inn At Sundance is a great site to spend a night or two. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Simmons Trail, and camping at Hawken Ranch and Hawken Guest Ranch is always a fine experience. Take a hike on the Lanning Trail, and why not a little side journey to East Fork Blacktail Creek. What a site this is for outdoors people. The top of Sherrard Hill is easily seen from Blacktail Reservoir, and                  a golf course nearby is Devils Tower Golf & Country Club. Summertime highs at Blacktail Reservoir commonly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's.
