There are tremendous places to look at along the Simmons Trail, and why not take       a little visit to East Fork Blacktail Creek while you're here. For the period of the warm months at Blacktail Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's, and the overnight is a little chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's with temperatures at Blacktail Reservoir dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Rimrock Lodge is a wonderful location                  to spend a night or two, and camping at Blacktail Reservoir is good fun, Devil's Tower Fort is a good local campground. Good hiking is available along the Lanning Trail, and the peak of Sherrard Hill can be observed from Blacktail Reservoir.
