in the 70's to Blacktail Ponds. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's while Blacktail Ponds nighttime low temperatures during the winter are
in the-10's.
There's so much to do here at Blacktail Ponds that you need to camp here for a while, Gros Ventre Campground is a good place for that, and the summit of Blacktail Butte can be seen from Blacktail Ponds. You imagine
that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Drift down the rapids of Ditch Creek in a kayak, and the Bradley Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. Blacktail Ponds gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally January, that's the one that snows the most, and July is the month with the least moisture.
