This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. Very pretty scenery and perfect skiing is what you get at Snowy Range, and float down the rapids of North Platte River in a kayak. A fine place to camp here at Black Spotted Lake is Lewis Lake Campground, and there's delightful hiking along the Medicine Bow Trail. Go for a hike on the Circle Trail; a lake nearby is Cutthoat       Lake. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Black Spotted Lake get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Black Spotted Lake descend into the 10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Black Spotted Lake without first going                  for a hike along the Lakes Trail, and why not camp at Deep Creek Campground since you're here at Black Spotted Lake. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Medicine Bow Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. From Black Spotted Lake you get a tremendous sight of Browns Peak. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Medicine Bow Mountains.
