A visit to Black Lake is always a good idea. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Wind River Range. If you're into cool geologic highlights, try Little Brown Point, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Pinedale Inn is a good choice. For the duration of the long summer days at Black Lake highs are commonly in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Black Lake

| | dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. Near Black Lake you stumble on the Timico Lake Trail which is a fine hiking trail; you can stay the night at Boulder Lake Campground. Black Lake is regularly a rather waterless place; during the month of May you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is February. Paddling on Boulder Creek is so much fun, and a quick spree to Baldy Creek is undeniably a fine idea. This lake is so wonderful. | |

A great nearby hotel is Baymont Inn & Suites Pinedale. Lakes? Sure, Belford Lake is close at hand. This lake is located in the wonderful Wind River Range. This lake is so wonderful. There is a fine hiking trail near Black
Lake called the Burnt Lake Trail. Having a great time in the Wind River Range is simple. Going for a hike on the Little Half Moon Trail is always a great adventure, and there are other locations here than Black Lake, for example Lake
Surprise. That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on going; Black Lake has it all. There's so much to do here at Black Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Boulder Campground is a wonderful site for that, and Pole Creek has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by.
