At Black Joe Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most, and December is the month with the least moisture. This spot, the Wind River Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. There are good places to explore along the Big Sunday Trail; Dickinson Creek Campground is a delightful campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Go for       a hike on the Ice Lakes Trail, and while you're here, you could also explore charming Smith Lake. Big Sandy Mountain is clearly visible from Black Joe Lake, and you'll discover a striking lake called Papoose Lake. Through the summertime months at Black Joe Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's while Black Joe Lake night low temperatures                  throughout the wintertime are in the 10's.
