It is very dried out here at Black Joe Lake mostly; May is when you get the most rain here while December is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All the outdoors exciting things in the Wind River Range will keep you coming back persistently. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Black Joe Lake has to offer, you can camp at Dickinson Creek Campground, and you can take       a little visit to Clear Lake Dam while you're here at Black Joe Lake. Black Joe Lake is a good place to camp, Big Sandy Campground is a good place; hiking along the Big Sunday Trail is delightful fun. This lake is so wonderful. You're possibly hooked on lakes, Clear Lake is one of those close by; going for a hike along the Ice Lakes Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. This lake is located in the wonderful Wind River Range.                  If the weather is wonderful, you get a perfect sight of Big Sandy Mountain from Black Joe Lake, and Silver Spur Motel is a good site to get some rest. So much exciting stuff to do here at Black Joe Lake, too pleasant to be true. Take a hike on the Lizard Head Trail. For the duration of the long summer days here at Black Joe Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's.
