Clear Lake Dam is picturesque and it's in the vicinity of Black Joe Lake, and Dickinson Creek Campground is a fine campground nearby. Summer at Black Joe Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 40's. Through the wintertime       highs are regularly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Black Joe Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Big Sandy Campground is a fine place to camp; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Deep Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Ice Lakes Trail is a delightful hiking trail in the vicinity of Black Joe Lake, and Big Sandy Mountain is pretty and can be seen from here.
