Have a splendid hiking adventure along the Medicine Bow Trail, and a brilliant location to go to is Snowy Range Pass. At Black Jack Lake you don’t see much rainfall; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Take a hike on the Lakes Trail, and you're perhaps addicted to lakes, Pinchot Lake is one of those nearby.       And if that's not enough there's a lot more fun stuff to do in the Medicine Bow Mountains. What would winter be without some skiing at Snowy Range; a perfect spot to camp here at Black Jack Lake is Lewis Lake Campground. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area near Black Jack Lake has to offer. Do set aside some time for Libby Flats since you're here at Black Jack Lake, and the sight of Browns Peak is pretty. This is a perfect                  area for people who like lakes. Sandy Lake is a lake close by; Black Jack Lake is right by the Circle Trail. For the period of the summer here at Black Jack Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Black Jack Lake are in the 10's. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Why not camp at Mirror Lake Campground while you're here at Black Jack Lake, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on North Platte River.
