This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Big Sunday Trail; from Big Sandy Lake you obtain a fine sight of Big Sandy Mountain. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Wind River Range. Nearby lakes? Sure, Black Joe Lake is next to Big Sandy Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Sandy Lake; Lizard Head Trail is a good local       trail. Through the days of summer highs here at Big Sandy Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's while Big Sandy Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. A glorious close by hotel is Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge, and the Diamond Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at                  Big Sandy Lake.
