You could also visit Big Moose Lake while you're here at Big Moose Lake; it's nearby, and Big Moose Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Crazy Creek Campground is a magnificent local campground. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is abundant here in the Absaroka Range. The slopes of Red Lodge Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist. If only every site had this much outdoors  
   cool things, what a great planet it would be. Big Moose Lake is right by the Crazy Lakes Trail; some close by water includes Hemingway Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Lake Creek Campground is always a tremendous experience; Clarks Fork Yellowstone River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. Going for a hike along the Lake Reno Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and if you've had enough of Big Moose Lake, Ivy Lake
 
               is nearby. Big Moose Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range.
There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Absaroka Range. Hiking along the Crazy Mountain Trail is splendid fun, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Big Moose Lake. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 30's. All through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 20's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Big Moose Lake tend to be in the 0's. The amount of rainfall that falls at Big Moose Lake is close to the national average; June is when you get the most rain here, and October meanwhile is the driest month.
