A visit to Belford Lake is always a good idea. Lakes? Sure, Lake Surprise is in the neighborhood, and Boulder Lake Campground is a fine campground nearby. So much amusing stuff to do in the Wind River Range, not enough time. There are other sites here than Belford Lake, for example Black Lake, and hiking along the Burnt Lake Trail is glorious fun. Belford Lake is located in the Wind River Range. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Wind River

to do here at Belford Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Boulder Creek, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the North Fork Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are
some wonderful whitewater spots on Pole Creek, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Pinedale Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two. Belford Lake is pretty arid typically; the month of May is the wettest with most of the
rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. Belford Lake is right by the Timico Lake Trail; Boulder Campground is a wonderful local campground.

Suicide Lake
Had some excellent fishing for brook & cutthroat trout at Suicide Lake in August '05. The fishing was so hot I caught 2 at once....
Triangle Lake
This lake is almost impossible to get to. I have been within two miles of the lake and can't get to it because of the dangers that surround it. There are cliffs and the trail to the lake is a slippery waterfall....
Hay Pass Trail
I backpacked over Hay Pass (from Boulder Lake Trailhead to to Golden Lakes) last July 25. Easy ascent to pass except for stream crossings, trail gets faint for about 1/4 mi.above Dennis Lake (quite a view down to the lake. At the outlet of the unnamed lake (Beth Lake???) below the pass on the west side (at head of North Fk Boulder Cr.) water was high & swift, so I routed eastward around to the head of the lake crossing 2 inlet streams where they braid apart. through thick willows- a slow deal, but better than hip-deep swift water at the outlet. Great cutthroat fishing at Victor Lake (on fish to 19) during a hail storm. Guess the fish thought the hail was a swarm of bugs. Saw nobody else from Victor lk. to Golden Lks and back (3 days). Not the most spectacular scenery in the range (peaks are mostly round-topped, not like the jagged peaks to the north or south), but no people and great fishing (Golden Lakes had lots of 14 goldens but they were not biting- typical of goldens). Going in again this July, only farther this time, north of Golden Lakes. Anybody going that way?...
Double Lake
19 miles away Fish it with royal wolfs being stipped on top of the water, big cuttthroats will slam it...
