If you like swamps, you're in luck, Poston Meadows is right nearby, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Francis Lake Tail. It is very dried out here at Beaver Lake generally; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; February is when it's the driest. If you need a location to stay Best Western Pinedale Inn is a good choice. There's so much to do here       at Beaver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Scab Creek Campground is a delightful site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side journey to Beaver Creek, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Highline Trail. Stay the night at Big Sandy Campground; the Wheeler Ranch Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close by. And that's not all the things to do here in the Wind River Range. You could also explore Boulter Reservoir since you're here                  at Beaver Lake; it's nearby. This lake is one of the great places here in the Wind River Range. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Beaver Lake while nighttime lows are mostly in the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Beaver Lake. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Nearby lakes?
