Hiking is a popular thing to do around Beauty Lake; Beartooth Highlakes Trail is a great local trail. After a long day outdoors Yodeler Motel is a great location to spend a night or two, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Clay Butte Trail. Now, you may assume that's a load but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Absaroka Range. Not far from       Beauty Lake, you'll hit upon Echo Lake which is a charming lake, and a quick trip to Little Bear Creek is definitely a good idea. A normal amount of rain falls here at Beauty Lake; throughout June this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is October. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more amusing things to do in the Absaroka Range. Beauty Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Beartooth Lake Campground is a wonderful local                  campground, and what would winter be without some skiing at Red Lodge Mountain. And that's not all you can do here at Beauty Lake. Lakes are great; Crane Lake is a lake that's near Beauty Lake; a perfect site to camp here at Beauty Lake is Top Of The World Campground. For the duration of the days of summer, highs mostly are in the 70's at Beauty Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Beauty Lake are in the 0's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Clarks Fork Yellowstone River offers some magnificent whitewater; Beartooth Plateau is a beautiful place any time of year.
