Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Wind River Range is peerless! Why not camp at Dickinson Creek Campground while you're here at Bear Lake; if you've had enough of Bear Lake, Papoose Lake is close by. Take a hike on the Lizard Head Trail, and a fine close by hotel is Silver Spur Motel. Hiking along the Moss Lake Trail is tremendous fun, and if you're here at Bear Lake it's a great idea to       go to Lizard Head Meadows. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Bear Lake. Drift down the rapids of Bull Lake Creek in a kayak, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Gaylord Lake Trail. Through the summertime months at Bear Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight                  here at Bear Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Big Sandy Campground, and from Bear Lake you acquire a perfect view of Big Sandy Mountain. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Wind River Range has to offer. Jackass Pass is a great location to explore nearby. Bear Lake gets very little precipitation; throughout May this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is December.
