This lake is located in the wonderful Medicine Bow Mountains. Why not camp at Upper Nash Fork Campground while you're here at Bear Lake; going for a hike on the Medicine Bow Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Medicine Bow Mountains. Gotta ski! Snowy Range is a good spot to do that; close by you stumble on the       Lakes Trail which is a great hiking trail. For the duration of the long summer days here at Bear Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, generally in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Bear Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. If you came for an overnight stay Lewis Lake Campground is a great place to camp, and a pleasant                  close by hotel is The Sage And Sand Motel LLC. Bear Lake is frequently a rather dried up location; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is February. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The Medicine Bow Mountains is peerless! The Circle Trail is a good hiking trail near Bear Lake. What a site this is for outdoors folks. A pretty lake like Fishhook Lake right next door to Bear Lake is a great site to pop by, and don't forget to take a delightful little spree to Telephone Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
