Lakes are perfect; Silver Lake is a lake that's close to Battle Lake, and Battle Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Lost Creek Campground is a nice local campground. The vista of pretty Red Mountain near Battle Lake is great, and you don’t have to go far from Battle Lake to see the water at Silver Lake Dam. The warmest time of the year at Battle Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's.       Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Battle Lake are in the 10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Park Range. Not much rainfall falls here at Battle Lake; May is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Battle Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Haskins                  Creek Campground is a delightful location for that, and CrossTimbers at Steamboat is a wonderful location to get some rest. There's whitewater on Encampment River for all you adrenaline kick people, and there are delightful spots to explore along the Elkhorn Stock Driveway. This lake is so wonderful. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Park Range. Go for a hike on the Fireline Trail, and after a long day outdoors The Sage And Sand Motel LLC is a delightful site to spend a night or two. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Battle Lake.
