Battle Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Battle Lake without first going for a hike along the Elkhorn Stock Driveway, and not far from Battle Lake you'll hit upon Silver Lake which is a gorgeous lake. Battle Lake is usually a relatively dried out location; May is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. Just can't get enough of the Park Range.

| | There's good hiking along the Fireline Trail, and if you need a location to stay The Sage And Sand Motel LLC is a great choice.
Visit Doane Creek since you're here at Battle Lake, and on a lovely day you get a brilliant vista of Red Mountain from Battle Lake. Encampment River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby; camping is available at Lost Creek Campground. Yep, outdoors cool things to do are truly bountiful here at Battle Lake. And if that's not enough there's plenty more cool stuff to do in the Park Range. The Park Range scenery
is always beautiful. Summer at Battle Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are frequently in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Battle Lake plunge into the 10's.
